Membership is open to all interested persons and dues are $5 per year. Meetings are held on the third Monday at 7 PM each month, September through May at the Chugwater Community Center. In June there is a special meeting or tour. We always enjoy the opportunity for others to share programs of special interest about the area.
There is an ongoing project of compiling the stories of how folks came to Chugwater. Do you have a story to share? Please let us know by contacting Ruth Vaughn at (307)422-2509 or Carol Eckhardt at (307)331-5765
In June, 2017 CHUG received $2500 from the Platte County Lodging Tax Board to enhance the visitor's experience. We are planning to use these funds to make display boards to identify the machinery in our outdoor lot as well as purchasing archival covering for clothing in the museum. Thank you to the Platte County Lodging Tax Board!
Museum hours are 1 PM – 4 PM, every Saturday and Sunday, Memorial Day through Labor Day, as well as Labor Day, the 4th of July, and Memorial Day. Special openings may be arranged by contacting one of the CHUG members.
